Celebrating Cultural Diversity Through Digital Literacy in eTwinning
The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to announce the eTwinning Seminar for 2018. The Seminar will be held at the Cavalieri Art Hotel, St. Julian’s from Thursday 19th April at 15.00, up to noon on Saturday 21st April 2018. The Seminar will host teachers from various countries across Europe, as well as from Malta and Gozo.
Target Audience: The Seminar is open to all secondary educators (including LSE’s), from State, Church and Independent Schools who are beginners in eTwinning. Educators who wish to experience and share ideas through collaboration with foreign countries and a diversity of cultures, wish to learn more about eTwinning, or are interested in embedding Digital Literacy in their learning outcomes are invited to submit their application to attend the seminar.
The Maltese eTwinning National Support Service will be sponsoring teachers from Malta and from Gozo.
Meals, coffee breaks, and a cultural visit on Friday evening will be provided for all participants free of charge. Only teachers residing in Gozo will be entitled for accommodation (two nights) in Malta. An eTwinning Introductory Pack will also be available for all participants.
The Seminar: Workshops will focus on introducing eTwinning and its tools, Digital Literacy, integration of eTwinning projects in schools and cultural diversity. One of the sessions will also consist of a networking activity between participants aimed at encouraging registration of new eTwinning Collaborative Projects. Teachers will be asked to take their laptops/devices with them to the event.
Application Process and Criteria
-Participation is strictly by application and on a first come, first served basis
-Open to secondary school educators
-Participants are expected to register to the eTwinning platform and have a project idea that will be developed.
